Waterton Group Results are Consistently Above the Rest
The Waterton Group excels at test prep. Students and parents often ask our Directors how much test scores increase after working with Waterton. Though every student's improvement is different, we have seen the students gravitate to similar improvement margins. The Waterton Group has compiled historic averages since early 2009 from all students. The average student that enters our program sees a score increase of the following for different tests:

Leading Students to Their Goals
While the averages above are impressive, every student is different. Our customized process ensures that each student maximizes his or her score, but it does take time. At our foundation, The Waterton Group believes in constant repetition and rapid content reinforcement for every student over 5-20 weeks. Below is an example of an average student’s SAT® score increase over a 10 week period:

- Week One: Prior to beginning with a tutor, we ask students to complete a diagnostic test. Students are generally of proper approaches to the test and become intimidated and unfamiliar with the problem types. A typical student will score somewhere around 1500 on the SAT® before the first week with a tutor.
- Week Two: By the end of the second week, students often score lower than the first diagnostic test. A score might fall to the 1460 range. Why does this happen? The answer is simple. Students make mistakes when implementing new techniques.
- Week Seven: After the seventh week, the student has reviewed most of the material and become used to the learned approaches. Student scores have usually increased steadily over the previous four lessons and should continue to increase until the end of the program. All of the hard work manifests itself.
- Week Ten: Students typically reach a score plateau around the 10th week. Additional lessons may help some students, but most students have maximized their score. At this point a student is prepared for the real test.
